Welding Processes

Submerged arc welding is used for ferrous metal applications:

  • High deposition rate and deep penetration make it fast and efficient
  • Minimal distortion protects dimensional stability
  • Because the weld is “submerged” in flux, weld spatter is eliminated
  • Usually limited to 1F, 2F and 1G positions
