Merrill Fabricators has a long history of high-quality work in welding and fabricating aluminum and aluminum alloys, including:

We’ve worked in nearly every aluminum alloy, including:

• “Pure” aluminum (1060, 1100)
• Duralumin/copper alloys (2000 series)
• Manganese alloys (3000 series)
• Silumin/silicon alloys (4000 series)
• Magnesium alloys (5000 series)
• Magnesium/silicon alloys (6000 series)
• Zinc alloys (7000 series)
• Lithium alloys (8000 series)

Because each of these alloys has different properties, weldability varies. To give you the highest-quality welds, our welders apply decades of collective experience and the most appropriate welding processes.

For welding aluminum, we’ll most frequently use:

• GMAW/MIG
• GTAW/TIG

These can be done manually or robotically. We also have the capability to preheat components of nearly any size with precise temperature control.
